Peace by Piece is a non-profit quilting guild consisting of members from Livingston Montana and the surrounding area.
We meet the first Thursday of the month at American Lutheran Church, corner of “F” & Lewis Street, (129 South F Street) in Livingston, Montana beginning at 6:30 p.m.
During the meeting we have a business meeting, show and tell and typically a program. The program can be a small make-and-take project, a quilting technique (or several), a local merchant showing a demo, or a trunk show. We have a show and tell for members to show their latest projects. As with any quilting event, refreshments are served.
We work on at least one philanthropy group project annually, as well as distributing quilts made by our members to individuals/organizations in need. Examples of past donations include quilts of valor, quilts to individuals facing struggles, children in need, quilts to the highway patrol and walker/wheelchair quilts and tote bags for nursing facilities.
We have several guild classes per year. In the last couple of years we have had classes/programs on thread painting, quilt-as-you-go/peeled back patchwork, Double Duty Table runner, Jelly roll race and 3 quick strip quilts, Bargello with a Twist, French braid table runners, crazy 8 table topper, stack and whack, block of the month, a mystery quilt, quick and easy tumbling block, and Mariner's Compass. Please click on the calendar tab to see the current programs and workshop offerings.
Dues are only $20 annually. The majority of the workshops and classes are free to members. To show your quilts in the Peace by Piece Quilt Show--you must be a member of the guild.
